Asia Metal Building Design & Industry Expo 2023 - Visitor Analysis Report
On September 19-21, 2023, the three-day Asia Metal Building Design & Industry Expo (MBE) concluded successfully in Shanghai New International Expo Center!
The Expo gathered five plates, namely steel and wood structure, thermal insulation material, architectural facade, metal roofing and intelligent manufacturing, gave full play to the platform aggregation effect, linked multiple resources, and built a broad platform for the industry to display products, industry exchanges, resource sharing, and information interoperability in one.
The scale of this year's exhibition hit a record high, and attracted a total of 18,527 domestic and overseas visitors, including 1,935 overseas visitors, on the three days of the exhibition.
According to statistics, MBE has a total of 27,350 registered visitors, 18,527 visitors in attendance, a visit rate of 67.74%, this report analyzes 18,527 visitor data. The regional structure is as follows:
01 According to the statistics of visitors by area:
Shanghai 5,156 people (27.83%), except Shanghai 11,381 people (61.43%), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan visitors 55 people (0.30%), overseas visitors 1935 people (10.44%).
02 Overseas visitors by country statistics, ranked in the top ten countries are:
Mongolia, Russia, Belarus, South Korea, Malaysia, Turkey, Japan, Thailand, Italy, Canada.
03 According to the statistics of China domestic visitors by region:
the top five are: East China, North China, Central China, South China and Southwest.
04 According to the statistics of China domestic visitors by province:
the top ten provinces are: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hebei, Anhui, Henan, Beijing, Guangdong and Hubei.
05 According to the statistics of China domestic visitor by city:
the top ten cities are: Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, Jiaxing, Ningbo, Nanjing, Wuxi, Nantong and Changzhou.
Visitors to the exhibition came from 237 cities in 30 provinces and cities in mainland China, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas visitors, and the number of visitors reached 18,527 statistically.
Among the visitors of MBE, the proportion of local visitors in Shanghai is lower than 30%, while the proportion of domestic and foreign visitors is higher than 70%, which indicates that MBE is a national exhibition and is more attractive to visitors from all over the country. In addition to East China, North China and Central China are the regions where more visitors come from, while South China, Southwest China, Northeast China and Northwest China account for a smaller number of visitors, indicating that the influence of MBE on these regions is weak.

Chart is the statistics of overseas visitors according to the TOP30 countries. A total of 1,935 overseas visitors from 107 countries or regions attended our exhibition. It accounts for 10.44% of the total number of visitors.
52.67% of the visitors came on the first day of the exhibition, 34.52% came on the second day of the exhibition, and 12.81% came on the third day of the exhibition.
Among the exhibition visitors, there are 18,527 people provided intention; among them, there are 5,156 people want to visit the exhibition area of thermal insulation materials, accounting for 27.83% of the proportion of the visitor who provided intention; among them, there are 4,893 people want to visit the exhibition area of metal and wood structure, accounting for 26.41% of the proportion of the visitor who provided intention; among them, there are 3,475 people want to visit the exhibition area of architectural facade, accounting for 18.76% of the proportion of the visitor who provided intention; among them There are 2,679 people want to visit the Metal Roofing Zone, accounting for 14.46% of the intended visitor; of which 2,324 people want to visit the intelligent manufacturing, accounting for 12.54% of the intended visitor.
Among the visitors to the exhibition, 9,728 people provided their positions; 3,556 of them were professional employees, accounting for 36.55% of the proportion of visitors who provided their positions; 3,220 of them were in management, accounting for 33.10% of the proportion of visitors who provided their positions; and 2,415 of them were decision makers, accounting for 24.83% of the proportion of visitors who provided their positions.
Among the visitors to the exhibition, 11,286 people provided interested product segments; among them, 2,039 people were interested in thermal insulation materials, accounting for 18.07% of the proportion of the visitors who provided intention, among them, 1,487 people were interested in steel structure cutting equipment, accounting for 13.18% of the proportion of the visitors who provided intention; among them, 1,135 people were interested in building curtain wall and enclosure materials, accounting for the proportion of the visitors who provided intention 10.06%.
