Preface
China Construction Industry Association Steel and Wood Construction Branch, Shanghai Metal Construction Association and Shanghai Zhanye Exhibition Co., Ltd. together with related industry associations of 14 provinces and 3 cities in China jointly organized the “2024 Asia Metal Building Design & Industry Expo”, which was successfully held on August 2-4, 2024 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The scale of the exhibition reached 23,000 square meters, with more than 600 high-quality exhibitors from home and abroad, and attracted 23,174 domestic and overseas visitors, including 3,215 overseas visitors.
With green development becoming a global consensus, China has put forward the goal of achieving “carbon peak” by 2030 and “carbon neutrality” by 2060. Strengthening the construction of green building system, implementing urban renewal actions, maximizing the conservation of resources, protecting the environment, reducing pollution, enhancing the applicable and efficient use of space, creating livable, resilient and smart cities, and contributing to the modernization and development of Chinese style. In order to accelerate the improvement of green building design standards and norms system, the upgrading and application of green materials and equipment promotion, and constantly improve the life of the building, and promote the construction of China's new building system to the green, industrialized, intelligent, low-carbon, sustainable development, we hereby hold the “Fourth Asian Metal Building Design and Industry Expo”.
The conference brings together domestic and foreign industry associations (academic) leaders, industry experts, real estate developers, planning institutes, design units, general contracting units, construction units, plant owners, green park management committees, system service providers, green building materials suppliers, scientific research institutes, colleges and universities, hospitals, laboratories, green environmental protection organizations, intelligent manufacturing, software integration, testing and certification of enterprises around the new areas, new quality productivity, and jointly discuss the industry's international trends and share practical experience.
